Dagupan City mayor gets infected with COVID-19

DAGUPAN CITY — The local chief executive here tested positive for COVID-19 today.

In his video message, Mayor Marc Brian Lim confirmed his test results arrived Tuesday afternoon, May 25.

Lim said he contracted the virus through another individual who eventually tested positive.

As he was exposed, Lim said he chose to undergo self-quarantine. He then underwent an Antigen test.

“I tested antigen-reactive”, he said in the video.

He then underwent an RT-PCR test for confirmation. The test results arrived this afternoon.

Despite being positive of the virus, Lim said he only has “mild mild symptoms”, as he has finished his two shots of COVID-19 vaccines.

He then urged all Dagupeños to follow safety protocols and take extra care.
