Miss Universe Canada breaks silence over Michael Cinco's 'ungrateful' rant

Miss Universe Canada 2020 Nova Stevens has addressed the controversy she got embroiled in with Dubai-based Filipino renowned Fashion designer Michael Cinco and the beauty queen's MGmode team.

"So I just want to address the few that recently transpired between my team MGmode and Michael Cinco, unfortunately, I've been made to be involved, so I just want to clarify a few things," Stevens started in her video.

According to the beauty queen, the matter hurt her because she has nothing but "love" for both parties.

"They both helped me in ways that I can't even count. So every day I do count my blessings because of these two people, or I guess three cause MGmode are two people and Michael Cinco," she said.

Stevens then sent her message to Cinco wherein she reiterated that she has nothing but "love" and "gratitude" towards the latter.

"You have created the most beautiful gowns I could think of. I've never once imagined that I would work with you because you're Michel Cinco. So the fact that I was able to work with you is honestly a highlight of my career as Miss Universe Canada. So I just want you to know that - that gratitude would never be diminished no matter what. And I'll express that gratitude publicly and privately," Stevens declared.

"And God's know my heart, I really do advocate for gratitude because I really feel that gratitude is the greatest multiplier in life. The more grateful you are in life, the more life gives to you. So, please know that - that will never change. I will continue and will always be grateful towards you because you have been nothing but kind to me, nothing but kind."

The 26-year-old Canadian model asked netizens not to attach the "highlights" of her career and "great events" of her life with such "negativity."

"Because they've been nothing but positive for me. Working with Michael Cinco, that's a once-in-a-lifetime. Not everyone gets that opportunity. And I will forever be grateful. So I just want you guys to stop fighting. I want this to be taken privately, I don't think they are both deserving of this, it's not fair for all of their hard work," she said.

"So for all of you online, please don't. Don't get into the drama. It's not worth it. Let's not spread more negativity, let's spread love."

Cinco has called out Stevens and MGmode's Migüel Martinez and Denis Martin Davila who allegedly spread fake news about his team as being "unprofessional."

In there, he belied the claim that Stevens' "unfitted" gowns arrived "late," seemingly "to sabotage" her win.

"I dressed up most A-List HOLLYWOOD Celebrities, Royalties and wealthiest clients all over the world and they only have ONE RULE in fashion…IF THE DRESS DON’t FIT, DON’T WEAR IT!!! SIMPLE AS THAT. GET IT??? And mind you all of them know how to say THANK YOU…," he wrote.

"And LASTLY, here is the real TRUTH TO BE TOLD…YOU and your team have been USING me and taking advantage of my kindness for the past 3 consecutive years to dress up your candidates WITHOUT PAYING ME ANY CENTS! You don’t even pay the courier or any other charges. A SIMPLE THANK YOU NOTE FROM NOVA, YOU AND YOUR TEAM would have sufficed. But you don’t have the grace and decency to do that. YOU ALL ARE UNGRATEFUL, VILE and professional USERS."

Cinco declared that next time MCmode should not ask him or any Filipino designers to dress up their candidates.

"Ask your Canadian designers to showcase their works in world stage…I DON’T NEED YOU in my career and dressing up your candidates WILL NOT HELP MY BUSINESS. STOP taking advantage of my KINDNESS and STOP scamming FILIPINO designers…HOW DARE YOU…SHAME ON YOU and your whole CANADIAN Team…#sorelosers #moveon #attentionseekers #lifeisnotallaboutMissUniverse," he ended.
