Fire at PGH placed under control


The fire that hit the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) has been placed under control, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-National Capital Region (NCR).

The fire broke out on the third floor of the hospital early morning Sunday, May 16, 2021, and was declared under control at 2:46 a.m.

Several live videos on social media showed patients and doctors rushing out of the hospital premises. The fire reached the second alarm at 12:58 a.m.

The fire was extinguished at 5:41 a.m.

No injuries and casualties were reported in the fire.
