The University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) opened a call for donation to aid those affected by the fire that hit the hospital early Sunday morning, May 16.
In a Twitter post, PGH neurosurgeon Ron Baticulon said the hospital is in need of ready-to-eat food, bottled water, bed linen, and pillows.
"For food, bring to Ortoll , left side when entering from Taft. For non-food items, bring to Nurses Home, right side when entering from Taft," Baticulon wrote.
Meanwhile, PGH Fiscal Services cautioned against unauthorized donation drives.
"Please be aware of individuals calling for donations to PGH and providing bank accounts in the name of individuals," it said.
"If PGH is calling for cash donations, we will provide the duly authorized bank account under the name of PGH."
