Meralco is pushing through with its training bubble in Ilocos Norte while NorthPort was given the green light to start holding full practices in Cainta, Rizal.

The Bolts confirmed their scheduled departure up north Sunday, May 16, after pondering on staying in Metro Manila for the start of practices with government regulations downgraded to General Community Quarantine.

Full practices of PBA teams were allowed in GCQ areas by the Inter-Agency Task Force after the league appealed to ease restrictions in hopes of starting the 46th season next month.

Scrimmages were previously allowed in Modified General Community Quarantine areas, including Ilocos Norte.

Meanwhile, NorthPort governor Erick Arejola confirmed that King’s Landing Gym in Filinvest Cainta will be the site of the Batang Pier practices after securing a clearance from the Local Government Unit of Cainta.

But Arejola also said that the Batang Pier are also working on securing the approval of the Pasig City LGU which would allow the team to once again train at its regular facility at Green Meadows.
