Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol came through with a monstrous performance on Selena as Onic PH pulled off a reverse 2-1 sweep against fierce rival Aura PH in the second El Clasico of the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Friday night, May 12.

Kairi fired on-point Abyssal Arrows to take numerous pickoffs and eventually set the tone for Onic to pull away from a tight early game en route to a 22-8 romp in 19 minutes in the deciding Game 3.

The 15-year-old future MPL star finished with a perfect record of 10 kills and eight assists for an amazing kill participation of 82 percent.

Veteran tank Jason “Jay” Torculas also shone on his Akai (1-0-10 kill-death-assist) as he joined hands with Kairi in setting up huge pickoffs on Aura’s jungler Mark “LORD HADESS” Lazaro’s Lancelot and Allen “Greed” Baloy’s Lunox.

Game 3 stats

Onic avenged its 2-0 defeat to Aura back in the season’s first El Clasico in Week 3 while also snapping its three-game losing skid and boosting its position in the upcoming Playoffs.

The team of coach Kyle “Ryo” Berceño and analyst Caisam “Wolf” Nopueto took the No. 3 spot in Group A with 18 points on a 7-5 record and a superior head-to-head match-up against Bren Esports.

Aura saw its four-game winning streak end but still it was able to seal the top seed in Group A with 25 points on a 9-3 slate.

Coach Michael Angelo “Arcadia” Bocado and strategic mentor Steven “DaleDalus” Vitug’s boys secured the No. 1 spot after posting a comeback win in Game 1.

Onic came up with its own come-from-behind triumph in Game 2 behind Kairi’s Lunox and Jaylord “Hate” Gonzales’ Lancelot.
