J.Yoon, member of Korean rock band MC the Max, found dead

J.Yoon (real name: Yoon Jae-woong), member of the Korean rock band MC The Max, passed away on May 13. He was 38. 

According to the Korean police, J.Yoon was found dead at his home in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu in Seoul, Yonhap News reported. 

His agency, 325 E&C, could not reach him so they reported it to the police. The police who were dispatched to his home found him dead. 

No suicide note was left and according to a police officer, there was no suspicion of murder and they are investigating the exact cause of death. 

325 E&C issued a statement to say that J.Yoon passed away but did not disclose the cause of his death. 

“MC the Max member J. Yoon left us on May 13,” the agency stated. “Both MC the Max members and 325 E&C executives and employees are mourning the deceased with great sadness. We are sad to share the unfortunate news with the fans who gave endless support and love to J.Yoon.”

J.Yoon was born in 1982 and debuted in the band Moon Child in 2000. After which he formed MC the Max with members Lee Soo and Jeon Min-hyuk and debuted in 2002. In March last year, MC the Max released their 20th anniversary album “Ceremonia.” 

In addition, J.Yoon has composed songs for various idol groups such as Infinite, Lovelyz, Golden Child and Rocket Punch.
