PAGASA has lifted the signal number 2 earlier raised over some parts of Mindanao.

Strong breeze to near gale conditions is likely to affect areas under singal number 1, especially in the coastal and mountainous areas.

PAGASA said Crising is forecast to move westward or west northwestward and cross Mindanao Friday evening.

Due to interaction with the rugged terrain of Mindanao, the tropical depression is forecast to further weaken during its traverse of the island.

After emerging over the Sulu Sea on Friday evening, Crising would continue moving west northwestward until it reaches Palawan on Saturday afternoon, May 16.

The weather disturbance is forecast to further weaken into a remnant low on Saturday before or during its landfall over Palawan, and it would dissipate shortly afterwards.

But there is an increasing possibility that the Crising will degenerate into a remnant low at a much earlier period.
