More vaccination sites opened in Metro Cebu

CEBU CITY—Through "Project Balik Buhay" (PBB), more vaccination sites have been opened in Metro Cebu to ensure a smoother inoculation of employees from the private sector.

PBB is an initiative of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, local government units, Department of Health-Central Visayas (DOH Region 7), and private sector to help the government’s drive against COVID-19 pandemic.

The newly opened vaccination sites are located at the Visayas Community Medical Center (VCMC) in Cebu City, Mactan Doctors' Hospital in Lapu-Lapu City, and Mendero Medical Center in Consolacion, Cebu.

The PBB has previously helped put up vaccination sites at the Cebu Doctors' University Hospital in Cebu City, Chong Hua Hospital in Mandaue City, and Allegiant Regional Care (ARC) in Lapu-Lapu.

According to PBB, at least 7,000 employees from 615 companies have availed themselves of the free vaccination.

The first batch of workers was given their first dose from April 16 to 30. They will receive their second dose starting May 14.
