Lt. Colonel Bernard E, Pagaduan, chief of police in the City of Meycauayan, Bulacan in a telephone interview today, Wednesday, May 12, is appealing to all drivers to always check their condition before holding a car steering to travel.

Pagaduan's appeal was made after the sudden death of Tanny Cruz, of Barangay Saluysoy, City of Meycauayan last Monday morning at around 11 in the morning.
The Meycauayan City police said that Cruz died on the spot while riding his bicycle in Saluysoy village when accidentally bumped by a speeding AUV vehicle.
Police identified the AUV driver as Ildefonso Magcasi Jr., a former village chief in nearby Barangay Zamora of Mecauayan. The driver said he lost control of the SUV's steering when suddenly attacked by his epilepsy or nervous system disorder. The driver said he is willing to pay all the expenses of the victims.
Pagaduan said that the incident is tragic, and a big lesson to be learned by all drivers because the body of Cruz was divided into two when run over by the AUV.
Four other riders were also hit according to Lt. Col Pagaduan and were rushed to the nearest hospital. Two bores minor injuries while the other two believed to be in a critical condition were transferred to unknown another hospital. (Freddie C. Velez)
