Jobert Austria reunites with mom after 50 years, bursts into tears

Ever since he was a baby, comedian Jobert Austria said he never met his biological mom.

That's why when the stars aligned, Kuya Jobert made sure to take the opportunity of reuniting with his long-lost mother.

On his recent vlog, Kuya Jobert happily documented their get-together last May 7.

"Okay guys. Meron tayong gagawing importante ngayong umaga na 'to. Itong araw na to, pinaka importante sa akin dahil kikitain ko ang nanay ko, totoong nanay ni Kuya Jobert," he shared.

"Ilang taon kaming hindi nagkita ng nanay ko. Nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos kasi nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon para makita ko na yung nanay ko, yung totoong nanay ko," he added. "â€¦mayakap, mahalikan, matanong sa mga bagay na gusto kong tanungin magmula noong bata ako hanggang ngayong tumanda na ako."

He admitted getting mixed reactions before their meetup.

"Medyo kinakabahan ako. Medyo masaya ako. Medyo may konting tampo pa rin ako -- di ba kasi marami akong tanong. Pero nagpapasalamat nga ako sa Diyos kasi ito na yung araw na hinihiling ko. Pinag kaloob na Niya sa akin."

According to him, it was actually his brother who contacted him that his mom, Armanda Villanueva from San Jose del Monte, has been looking for him.

Kuya Jobert is thankful that he met his mom before it's "too late."

"Siguro tiniis niya mawalan ng anak kaysa makita niyang mamatay anak niya," he said weighing his mother's decision to give him away when he was still a baby.

Upon their reunion, the 50-year-old Kuya Jobert can't help but cry and hug his mom so tightly.
