The Pasay City Police said they are "prepared for any inspection" of the newly installed Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar.

In a text message, Pasay City Police chief Col. Cesar Paday-os said the local city police is always "well-informed" and "ready".

"Prepared naman sila, mga substation natin (Our substations are prepared)," Paday-os said after Eleazar's vowed to conduct surprise inspections in police stations in his first press conference as PNP chief on May 10.

Eleazar is known for his crackdown on erring police officers caught in operations or illegal activities.

In his assumption speech last week, he told police commanders to observe cleanliness, which prompted some of them to repaint and clean their offices.

During his stint as chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Eleazar was known for conducting nightly random inspections.

For his part, Paday-os said he has also been conducting his own inspection of the police community precincts to see if they are orderly.

"Yong iba may experience na sila kay CPNP kaya alam na nila ang ginagawa.. ambilis nila mag-initiative (Some of them already have experience with the PNP chief so they know what should be done and they quickly made some initiatives)," he said.

Back in 2018, the commander of the Police Community Precinct 1 in Pasay City was relieved after he was missing from the station during a surprise inspection by then NCRPO chief Eleazar.

Eleazar was conducting inspections in police stations in Manila to check the situation of the police officers.
