The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) helped airport passengers celebrate Mother’s Day over the weekend with the distribution of "Malasakit Help Kits" at various airports nationwide.
The initiative, spearheaded by Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade, aims to show the agency's appreciation for mothers through tokens of gratitude that will make their travel more convenient and comfortable. The DOTr supervises CAAP, which is one of its attached agencies.
Malasakit Help Desks (MHDs) welcomed the traveling mothers with freebies and personal care products.
CAAP Director General Jim Sydiongco also extended his greeting to all moms on the occasion of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9.
“To all moms who continue being the strong and genuinely loving people they are, we thank you, honor, and appreciate you, especially during these difficult times," Sydiongco said.
Amid the persisting coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, CAAP continues to provide kits to those in need to ensure passenger convenience.
CAAP hopes that the small gesture of gratitude and appreciation would bring a measure of comfort and convenience to traveling mothers.
