Mayor Oca Malapitan ordered the closure and cancellation of business permit of Gubat sa Ciudad Resort in Caloocan City after operating against the quarantine protocols.

This was after photos went viral on social media showing individuals swimming at the said resort.

Malapitan said in a statement that the operators, barangay officials, and all individuals who came to the resort will face charges.

The city mayor then ordered testing and contract tracing activities to lessen the transmission of COVID-19.

According to the guidelines set by the Inter-agency task force (IATF), resorts are only allowed to operate in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) or Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
