BTS’ J-Hope attends sister’s wedding

K-pop superstars BTS member J-Hope attended on May 5 the wedding of his sister Jung Ji-woo, aka Mejiwoo.

Jung Ji-woo, 31, got married to her non-celebrity boyfriend in a wedding ceremony held in Gangnam, Seoul with close friends and family in attendance.

She is an influencer and YouTuber, and runs her own fashion company AJLook, internet shopping mall Mejiwoo and eyewear Fun The Mental. In March, she signed an exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment.

Her YouTube channel Mejiwoo has 1.77 million subscribers while her Instagram account has 8 million followers.

According to Korean entertainment site TV Daily, in addition to J-Hope, Jin, RM and V also attended the wedding.

Photos of the wedding ceremony have been posted on different online communities and social media.

Meanwhile, in celebration of Children’s Day in South Korea on May 5, J-Hope donated 100 million won (about $89,000) to charity organization ChildFund Korea to help children who are victims of violence in Tanzania,

"Many people are suffering from COVID-19 not only in Korea but all over the world," he said, according to ChildFund Korea.

The donation will be used to support the Tanzania Child Violence Prevention Project and the one-stop center established for victims of violence.

The center was established by ChildFund Korea to process children who become victims of violence, providing treatment, legal and counseling support, and collection of evidence.

BTS will be making their comeback on May 21 with the single “Butter.”
