Two boys among new COVID-19 cases in Baras, Rizal


Two young boys, aged 10 and 13 are among the four new cases of COVID-19 in Baras, Rizal.

Data released by the municipal government shows that as of May 2, the 10-year old boy from Heroesville, in Barangay Pinugay, is a son of a 35-year-old woman who has been in isolation after getting infected with COVID-19.

The municipal government, in a post on its official Facebook page, said the youngest COVID-19 patient among the four new cases recorded on May 2, has no symptoms, but is already in isolation.

The three other new cases are a 65-year-old male, who is Patient No. 676 from Barangay San Juan; a 35-year-old male who is Patient No. 677 from Pinugay; and a 13-year-old boy who is Patient No. 678 from Barangay Pinugay.

As of May 2, the town has recorded 53 active COVID-19 cases; 603 recoveries, and 22 deaths.
