At least three people died while four people were rescued when a passenger boat capsized off the waters of Talim Island in Laguna on Saturday, May 1.
In a Facebook post, the Municipal Government of Los Baños in Laguna said rescue teams were able to recover three cadavers who drowned during the incident.
The search and rescue was supposed to be conducted as soon as the report of the incident was received in the afternoon of May 1 but the strong waves prevented the local rescue teams from heading to the location.
It was on the following day, May 2, that local rescue teams were able to conduct search and rescue which resulted in the recovery of three cadavers and the rescue of for more people.
