Wouldn't it be great to have comparisons and progress photos of infrastructure projects in the country to give Filiponos a better grasp of the gains of the Duterte administration's "Build, Build, Build" project?
Actually there is an Instagram account that exists for that very purpose, and it's by none other than Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar.
This IG account may not be filled to the brim with photos yet, with the first upload coming as early as last April 22.
But with already five years worth of Build, Build, Build progress under his belt, Villar could soon go on an upload frenzy to the give the public a visual taste of what the government's flagship infrastructure project is all about.
Started in earnest in 2017, the ambitious, P8-trillion initiative was billed to usher in a "golden age of infrastructure" in the Philippines. As the DPWH secretary, Villar is the de facto "chief builder" responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure works come to fruition.
The Mindanao Railway Project Phase 1 (Tagum-Davao-Digos Segment), Malolos-Clark Railway Project (PNR North 2), Clark International Airport Expansion Project, and the new LRT Line 1 North Extension Project (Common Station / Unified Grand Central Station are among the big ticket projects listed under the program.
Now in Instagram. Please follow me at @secmarkvillar to see before and after photos. #BuildBuildBuild

"#BuildBuildBuild is the output of the collective effort of 6.5 million Filipino construction workers, engineers, architect, welders, masons, heavy equipment operators and electricians. Thank you for your hard work and dedication! Galing ng Pinoy!" Villar said in his post-Labor Day message on Facebook Sunday, May 2.
