Miss Universe Italy Viviana Vizzini debuted her national costume for the 69th Miss Universe Competition which will be held in Hollywood, Florida on May 16 (May 17 Manila time).
On Instagram, Viviana described her national costume as "butterfly with a thousand colors."
"It represents Italy’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, how they sang and shouted from the balconies, showing the world banners and tricolor flags. The world in a cage, like a butterfly of a thousand colors, which is like designed by the most skilled of artists and painters," wrote Viviana as caption.
Viviana was born in a small town in Sicily and studies communications sciences and marketing.
She’s applied her skills in digital marketing to various companies and enjoys raising brand awareness.
Viviana uses her knowledge to leverage herself as Miss Universe Italy and is committed to seeking ways to improve the lives of women around the world.
She works as an ambassador for the Italian Red Cross and provided support to Casa Penelope, a place of refuge for women who need safe housing.
Viviana also works with Smile Train, an organization that highlights her belief that one smile can change the world.
She is proud of her Sicilian heritage and believes life is about the journey and that with each day, she can find something new to learn or appreciate about humanity.
Viviana created a successful life in two other countries: England and Spain.
She opened a fundraiser to support women and survivors of violence for Red Cross Italiana Roma. Viviana speaks fluent English and Italian and knows basic Spanish.
