Cecilion debuts in style in MPL-PH as Work gets back on track at expense of Execration

Banking on the late game burst from the Cecilion of Patrick "rTzy" Grecia, Work Auster Force pulled off an amazing comeback in Game 3 and took down Execration, 2-1, to regain its winning form in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Sunday, May 2. 

With abundant stacks on the Overflowing passive, rTzy's Cecilion unleashed massive magic nukes to stave off Execration's siege and eventually power Work's 17-14 come-from-behind victory in 23 minutes. 

rTzy spearheaded a 4-for-1 trade in their purple buff area before the league rookies secured the Luminous Lord and completed their gutsy fightback.

It was the debut appearance of the mage vampire hero in the MPL-PH Season 7 and it did not disappoint especially at the hands of Work's talented support. 

Daniel "Chuuu" Chu on his Hayabusa also came up with a brilliant play to lure Kiel VJ "Kielvj" Hernandez's Benedetta and get his attention away from Work's Base, buying time for rTzy and Clarense "Kousei" Camilo's Alice to defend. 

Kousei's Pharsa helped Work to tie the series as he dished out the magic burst via the Feathered Air Strike ultimate to ignite the narrow 13-11 win in Game 2. 

The boys of coach Laurence "Lift" Ruiz bounced back from a bitter 2-0 sweep to Smart Omega last week. 

Work also tightened its grip of No. 2 in Group A with 18 points on a 6-4 record, behind solo leader Aura PH (19 points on a 7-2 slate). 

Execration absorbed fourth consecutive defeat and fell to 3-6 as it remained at No. 4 in Group B with 12 points. 

The squad of coach Jomie "Pakbet" Abalos and Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso took an 18-13 comeback win in Game 1 but failed to sustain the momentum in the second game.
