Man arrested for raping daughter for 14 years in Pangasinan

PANGASINAN – A local court ordered the arrest of a 44-year-old man accused of raping his own daughter for 14 years and forcing her to have an abortion after impregnating her.

Police served the arrest warrant on Friday against the suspect (name withheld to protect the victim’s privacy) at the Pangasinan Provincial Jail where he has been detained.

A report from the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office revealed that the accused was already charged with physical abuse for maltreating his daughter prior to the serving of warrant of arrest for seven counts of rape and intentional abortion.

“Nagkaroon ng lakas na loob ang biktima na ilahad ang lahat ng kaniyang mga dinanas sa kaniyang ama nang siya ay walong taong gulang pa lamang hanggang sa ngayong 22 anyos na siya. Ibinunyag ng dalaga ang kahalayan ng kaniyang ama at ang pagkakabuntis nito na sa huli ay ipinalaglag daw sa pamamagitan ng pagpilit sa kaniya na uminom ng tableta na pampalaglag (The victim had the courage to reveal the abuses she suffered from her father from when she was eight-years-old until she turned 22. She also revealed that she got pregnant and her father forced her to have an abortion),” according to Police Corporal Carmelita Bron, investigator-on-case.

It was revealed that the young lady was sexually abused by her father while her mother was working abroad. She was accompanied by her mother when she filed the rape case.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Avelina Jimenez Villegas of Regional Trial Court Branch 68 in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
