ENHYPEN, ASTRO, Kang Daniel, Baekhyun, NU’EST top monthly album chart in April

Korea’s Hanteo Chart has released the rankings for the 30 best-selling physical albums for the month of April.

Rookie K-pop boy band ENHYPEN, ASTRO, Kang Daniel, EXO’s Baekhyun and NU’EST grabbed the first five places on the monthly album chart covering the period April 1 to 30.

ENHYPEN’s second mini-album “Border: Carnival” placed first with 375,651 copies sold in April. The album was released on April 26 and it sold 319,073 copies on the first day of release. Their debut album “Border: Day One” sold 280,873 copies in the first week of release.

K-pop boy band ASTRO’s second studio album “All Yours” took second place with 330,647 copies in sales in April, their best-selling album since debut. It was released on April 5 and garnered 281,952 copies in sales in the first week of release, compared to 71,450 copies for their previous album “Gateway.”

Solo artist Kang Daniel’s “Yellow” album bagged third place with 317,765 copies sold for the month. Its first-week sales totaled 316,542, compared to 323,167 for “Magenta” or a difference of 6,625 copies.

EXO member Baekhyun’s “Bambi” album is in fourth place with 239,890 copies for April. The album was No. 1 on Hanteo’s monthly physical album chart in March, selling 773,576 copies. Combining the two, Baekhyun has become a “million seller” as the total sales of “Bambi” has reached 1,013,466 copies. His previous album “Delight” also reached one million copies in sales.

Boy band NU’EST’s new album “Romanticize” has sold 205,759 copies to place fifth in April. The album recorded 191,831 copies in sales in the first week of release, higher than “The Nocturne,” which had 185,519 copies for its first-week sales.
