LOOK: Teacher redesigns old classroom for students

A special education teacher from Zamboanga del Norte gave an old classroom a fresh makeover.

Cyrell Jones Sidlao, a teacher from Buyos Elementary School, said he transformed the old classroom to help his students relax and feel refreshed.

"When the school assigned me to this old classroom, I know I must do something to make my classroom conducive to learning, especially I'm teaching children with difficulties and some children are easily distracted," Sidlao told the Manila Bulletin.

"I want to makeover my room something that will make them relax and refresh. I chose light blue green para malamig sa mata (So it's refreshing to the eyes) and added tropical wall designs because it's trendy and timeless)," he added.

Sidlao was able to redesign the old space for only P20,000. He added that it took him two months to renovate the classroom on his own.

"Our job as a teacher and love children really inspired me to do this," he said.

As of posting, Sidlao's room transformation vlog on YouTube was already viewed 1,980 times.
