Laus Playbook Esports soared back to the win column after sweeping the lackluster Cignal Ultra, 2-0, in the MPL Philippines Season 7 on Thursday, April 29.

Jay "JAKE THE DOG" Lapitan, Arvin "Arvs" Bacayan and Paul Ian "Beemo" Sergio all produced brilliant plays throughout the series as the Eagles snapped their two-game losing skid and got a crucial victory with the playoffs inching closer.

SEA Games gold winning coach Brian "Panda" Lim's LPE improved to eight points on a 3-5 series record but remained at No. 5 in Group B.

Cignal's struggles continued as the winless squad suffered its ninth straight defeat and stayed at Group A cellar with only three points at hand.

LPE scored a huge come-from-behind victory in Game 1 as Cignal failed to capitalize on its early lead built by winning early clashes and securing objectives including the Luminous Lord kill in the 13th minute.

Panda's boys turned the tides of the battle in the 16th minute when JAKE THE DOG on his Alice came up with a clutch Winter Truncheon play to bait Cignal's team fight abilities.

With the "AngeLing" duo of Beemo and Joshua "Aspect" Tating taking charge, LPE unleashed its counter-go to pick off Janus "JANUS" Badando's Granger, DJ "ImbaDeejay" Astibe's Popol & Kupa and Jefferdson "Kekedot" Mogol's Franco and never looked behind from there.

LPE took its turn to dictate the tune in Game 2 with Arvs on Luo Yi repeatedly setting up favorable clashes through great Diversion placements but it was the crucial kill of Beemo's Grock on JANUS' Lancelot in the 17th minute that punctuated the 17-9 triumph.

After Arvs and Aspect's Granger dealt big damage to JANUS, Beemo used his Shadow Mask to chase and take him down with the Flicker plus Wild Charge ultimate combo.
