The Office of the President, through the “Mask Para Sa Masa” program has turned over three million pieces of face masks to the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB).

Governor Daniel R. Fernando on Wednesday thanked the national government for the mask donation, which he called "a big help in combating COVID-19," during the ceremonial turnover held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium, City of Malolos.
Fernando said wearing a face mask is very important as it can save not only its wearer but also others. He said the "Mask Para sa Masa" project of the national government aims to supply free face masks as protection to six million less fortunate families or more than 35 million individuals in the country against COVID-19 and to provide a livelihood to micro, small, and medium enterprises, and cooperatives.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Rowena J. Tiongson said the 3,265,167 non-medical cloth mask received by the Bulacan government will be distributed to 653,033 families including the beneficiaries of ESP SAP, 4Ps, UCT SOcPen, and Listahanan through the designated city/municipal social welfare development officers of each local government unit.
Tiongson said that the PGB also received donations of 10,000 pieces of noodles, 10,000 pieces of sardines, 1,000 sacks of 25 kilos of rice, and an ambulance from Pitmaster Foundation, Inc. The Guerrero brothers also donated 400 sacks of 25 kilos of rice and 10,000 instant noodles and 10,000 cans of sardines that will also be distributed to Bulakenyos.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported that a total of 30,952 COVID-19-related cases were gathered by the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit of PHO-Public Health on Wednesday, of which, 26,011 (80%) are confirmed, and 4,941 (20%) are suspect. The PHO said 281 cases were verified and were added to the total number of confirmed cases in the provincial tally. "Fresh" cases are 202, while the "late" cases are 79.
Out of a total of 26,011 COVID-19 cases in the province, the PHO said that 22,270 or 86 percent have recovered. No new death was verified and recorded. The total number of COVID-19-related mortality remains at 646.
