Who is going to be Manny Pacquiao's next opponent?

Per Pacquiao's business manager, Arnold Vegafria, the Filipino boxing legend is likely to face American welterweight contender and four-division world boxing champion Mikey Garcia in Dubai later this year.

Vegafria took it to Instagram and shared what seemed to be a teaser poster for the Pacquiao-Garcia bout.

"Soon…" wrote Vegafria. No other details were included.

This as Pacquiao's reported mega-bout against WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford in Abu Dhabi on June 5 went into naught due to funding woes by investors.

Last March, Garcia reiterated his eagerness to fight the eight-division world boxing champion "this summer," particularly May or June.

Just like Garcia, a source of Bulletin-Tempo earlier said Pacquiao is eyeing a boxing comeback in May.

Since then, nothing has been really cast in stone yet even if reports disclosed that Pacquiao, 42, is either considering Garcia or Crawford.

The 42-year-old Pacquiao has not fought since scoring a split decision win over Keith Thurman in July 2019 to improve up at 62-7-2 record on top of 39 knockouts.

The Filipino boxer-turned-senator was stripped of his WBA super welterweight belt and was declared “champion in recess” due to inactivity in late January.

Garcia, for his part, last saw action in February last year with a unanimous decision win against Pacquiao's former foe in Jessie Vargas to climb at 40-1 slate with 30 KOs.

Another reigning champion on Pacquiao's radar is unified IBF and WBC titlist Errol Spence Jr. with July as the target month to be held on US soil this time, per ESPN Knockout
