In a Facebook post on Tuesday (April 27), Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said the new laboratory, located at the city-run Sta. Ana Hospital, will use the "gold standard" of testing for human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV).

"Mga Batang Maynila, makakaasa po kayo na magpapatuloy po ang Pamahalaang Lungsod sa pagpapaunlad ng ating medical facilities upang mabigyan kayo ng dekalidad na serbisyong medikal (Manileños, you can expect that the city government will continue to improve our medical facilities so we can give you quality medical services)," Domagoso's post read.

The Manila mayor also congratulated the management of Sta. Ana Hospital for achieving another milestone before the institution's 11th anniversary on April 28.
