A 3.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Bukidnon early Monday morning, April 26.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake occurred at 4:54 a.m. and originated 16 kilometers northeast of Pangantucan, Bukidnon.

It was felt as a "weak tremor" at Intensity III in Pangatucan.
Meanwhile, it was a "slight shaking" at Intensity II in Don Carlos and Maramag, Bukidnon, and "scarcely perceptible" at Intensity I in Cagayan de Oro City.
Phivolcs' instruments also detected the earthquake at Intensity II in Cagayan de Oro City.
It said the quake was tectonic in origin, which means the tremor was caused by the movement of an active fault in the area.
Moreover, it was shallow at a depth of 10 kilometers thus the strong shaking.
Phivolcs does not expect damage to property nor aftershocks to occur.
