'Every gender is nurtured': St. Bridget School QC to open doors to male learners for SY 2021-2022
St. Bridget School Quezon City, a Catholic educational institution for girls, will open its doors to all Filipino youth regardless of gender as it is set to transition to become a coeducational institution beginning School Year 2021-2022.

This was announced by Sr. Mary Susan Montano, province leader of the Religious of the Good Shepherd-Province of Philippines-Japan, in a memorandum dated April 24.
“After a prayerful discernment considering all the collective outcome of several consultation processes undertaken, it is with great hope and excitement to inform you that St. Bridget School, Quezon City will transition to become a coeducational institution beginning School Year 2021-2022,” read the memo, which was posted on St. Bridget School’s official Facebook page on Saturday, April 24.
The memo was issued to St. Bridget School, Quezon City members of the Board of Trustees, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, students, alumnae, and all concerned stakeholders.
Montano, who was elected as provincial leader of the RGS’ Province of Philippines-Japan in 2020, said such decision will allow the school “to be more responsive to the call of the times as we trace our beginning from the foundations of St. Domitilla’s School established in 1921.”
“One hundred years later, we will open our doors to offer inclusive quality Catholic education to all Filipino youth regardless of gender, social status, and other social differences.”
She explained that coeducation will be implemented across all grade levels (K-12).
She said the aim is to make "the most of the availability of our online learning platform Bridgetine SPACE as gradual transition of our current students to interact with their male classmates before face-to-face classes.”
“With this landmark decision, we envision St. Bridget School, QC to be a leader in inclusive private Catholic education where every gender is nurtured and grows as confident, competent, compassionate Filipino able to meet the challenges of today’s fast-changing world.”
