"Guys tigil na. Wala kaming away ni Yorme. Peace na kami so let’s move on (Guys please stop. We’re not quarreling. We're at peace already, so let's move on)," Remulla said in a tweet Friday evening (April 23).

According to Remulla's media relations officer, Isko called Remulla and apologized. Both parties agreed not to further the issue anymore.

On Friday morning, Remulla defended Naic Mayor Jun Dualan over Moreno’s remarks about the late distribution or lack of financial assistance to Naic relocatees.

Remulla said 1,092 families of informal settlers from Manila were welcomed by Naic to live in the housing project initiated by the National Housing Authority (NHA). The governor laid out numbers comparing the two local government units (LGU), including Manila’s financial assistance allocation of P1.5 billion against Naic’s P115.8 million.

(We’re suffering here and yet you’re using us for your clamor to become popular. You should look at the crisis first before you say worthless statements. If you want popularity, you don’t need to step on Caviteños. Don’t pick on us Caviteños. We’re not backing down on you),” the governor added.

Moreno didn’t address Remulla’s remarks on The Capital Report streamed live through Facebook Friday night. However, he talked about getting requests for assistance from former Manila residents who are now living in provinces.

Masaya po kami na kami’y naging bahagi ng kaluluwagan nyo sa buhay (We have many relocatees, those who were relocated in different provinces. I just wanted you to know that we’ve assisted 2,200 families in different provinces who asked for help from Manila. We’re happy to have been a part of your relief),” Moreno said.
