CEBU CITY – To help educate the public about the importance of COVID-19 vaccination, the Association of Barangay Council (ABC) here has strengthened its “Pa Bakuna Ta” (Let’s Get Vaccinated) program.

ABC-Cebu City president Franklyn Ong said the goal of the program is to educate the people on the government’s vaccination program.
“Our goal is to ensure that the public is well-informed. We provide the right information, we help them realize the benefits of getting vaccinated in the hopes that they will be encouraged to get the vaccine,” said Ong.
Ong visited Barangay Tabunan here Saturday for another session of the Pa Bakuna Ta program.
Aside from the vaccination program, Ong also encouraged the residents to volunteer for the upcoming bloodletting activity dubbed as “Dugo Mo, Kinabuhi Ko” (Your Blood, My Life).
Ong said the ABC has tied up with the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for the bloodletting activity.
“We discussed the importance of bloodletting activity and the importance of having quality blood to save lives,” Ong said.
An open forum was also conducted where residents were able to air some concerns in their area.
The activity ended with the distribution of basic goods such as rice, canned goods, and noodles. Free face masks were also distributed.
