May 2021 Nurses Licensure Examination rescheduled to November

The May 2021 Nurses Licensure Examination has been postponed.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) rescheduled the holding of the licensure examination on Nov. 21 and 22, 2021.

In a Resolution, PRC said the Philippine Nursing Association (PNA), the accredited professional organization, in its letter dated February 22, 2021, initially expressed support to conduct the May 2021 NLE in order to augment the current healthcare workforce in the country.

The Commission said in another letter dated April 5, 2021, PNA requested to postpone the May 2021 NLE due to the recent increase of coronavirus disease (COVID 19) cases and conveyed that its utmost consideration is the safety of the future nurses and all those who will be involved in the conduct of the NLE.

"Founded on the basis of the health and safety of all the examinees and examination personnel, the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing (Board) and the Licensure Office deemed it necessary to recommend the postponement of the May 2021 NLE and to reschedule the same to a later date," read Resolution No. 1350.

"In view of the foregoing, the Commission resolves as it hereby resolved to postpone the conduct of the May 2021 Nurses Licensure Examination and to reschedule it on November 21 and 22, 2021," it further read.

"Resolved further that the previously scheduled November 20 and 21, 2021 NLE under Resolution No. 1283 (s.2020) shall be moved to November 21 and 22, 2021," the Resolution read.
