PRC reschedules June 2021 licensure exams for Physical, Occupational Therapists to December
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the rescheduling of the June 2021 Physical Therapists Licensure Examination and Occupational Therapists Licensure Examination.

The Commission on Wednesday, April 21, said both examinations will now be held in December.
"The Commission resolves, as it hereby resolved, to postpone the conduct of the June 2021 Physical Therapists Licensure Examination and Occupational Therapists Licensure Examination and to reschedule both examinations to December 5 and 6, 2021," read Resolution No. 1347.
PRC cited the increase in the coronavirus disease 2019 cases as reason for the postponement.
"Having considered the preparation for PTLE and OTLE, the Higher Education Institutions have agreed on the risk to health and safety of the examinees and examination personnel during the conduct of the PTLE and OTLE, including the Board, especially the senior members," the Commission said.
"In consideration thereof and due to the increase in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 cases and repeated imposition of strict community quarantine in various regions, the Board and Licensure Office deem it proper to recommend the postponement of the June 2021 PTLE and OTLE and reschedule it to December 2021," it added.
Section 7 of Republic Act No. 8981 or the PRC Modernization Act of 2000 empowers the PRC to administer and conduct the licensure examinations of the various regulatory boards in accordance with the rules and regulations it may promulgate: to determine and fix the places and dates of examinations.
