Around 342,000 families received their ECQ cash aid from the national government, according to Mayor Oca Malapitan.

Despite the additional 25 days given to the local government units(LGUs) to distribute the cash aid, the city already accomplished 92 percent or 342, 725 were able to get the ECQ cash aid according to a report of the City Social Welfare and Development Department.
"Sa kabila ng pagiging malaking lungsod at mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng physical distancing, sa loob ng 13 operational days ay nasa 92 percent accomplishment na tayo (Despite being a big city and the strict implementation of physical distancing, within 13 operational days we are at 92 percent accomplishment),” Mayor Malapitan said.
Malapitan acknowledged the hard work and cooperation of the barangay officials, city personnels, and individuals in order to distribute the cash aid while observing the minimum health protocols.
“Hindi natin ito maisasakatuparan kung wala ang tulong at kooperasyon ng ating mga barangay, mga estudyante ng University of Caloocan City (UCC), ang USSC, na siyang ating partner remittance company, at sa lahat ng ating mga naging katuwang para mas mapabilis ang pamamahagi ng tulong-pinansyal sa mga mamamayan (We would not have been able to achieve this without the help and cooperation of our barangays, UCC students, USSC, which is our partner remittance company, and all our partners to expedite the distribution of financial aid to the people),” he added.
The local government already distributed a total of P1.22 billion from the budget given by the national government.
The city mayor assured that they are assisting the residents who received incomplete amount of the cash aid.
"Kasabay ng ating mabilis na distribusyon ay pinapatutukan din natin ang mga hinaing sa ating mga Grievance Desk, nang sa gayon ay mabigay kaagad ang karagdagang cash aid na dapat matanggap ng mga benepisyaryo (Along with our speedy distribution, we also are also addressing the grievances brought before our Grievance Desks, so that the additional cash aid that the beneficiaries should receive can be provided immediately.),” Malapitan said.
The local government started the distribution of the cash aid on April 7.
