Bulacan province posts 83% recovery of COVID patients


The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in Bulacan reported on Tuesday that out of the total of 28,686 COVID-19 cases province-wide, 19,923 or 83 percent have recovered, including 475 new recoveries.

The PHO said that out of the 28,686 COVID-19 cases gathered by the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (PESU) of PHO-Public Health, 23,745 are confirmed, while 4,941 are suspected cases. Of the 187 new additional cases that were verified, 154 are fresh and 33 are late cases.

It added that there are still 3,205 cases under isolation and monitoring in hospitals, temporary and monitoring facilities, or in their respective homes.

The age of the patients ranges from 1 day to 100-year-old and 24 percent of the most affected cases belong to the age group of 20 to 29.

The highest reported COVID-19 active cases are still in the City of Malolos, City of San Jose Del Monte, and in the municipality of Santa Maria.
Three new additional deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the province to 617.
