BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay transferred Region 8-B Director Glen Geraldino to Cebu, while Cebu Regional Director Ed Pagulayan took over the former's post.

Revenue Region 8-B was formerly attached to the Makati region, which is composed of the nearby cities of Pasay, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Taguig, and the town of Pateros.

Meanwhile, Assistant Revenue Directors Ramer Narvaez of Davao and Cristine Juliet Chua of Iloilo also swapped posts.

The BIR chief has been reshuffling key field officials since the start of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic last year in order to maximize tax collection from businesses. This, as he noted that many of the establishments have been crippled by the pandemic.

The foremost tax collection arm of the government is aiming to raise at least P2.08 trillion this year.
