Actor Gerald Anderson believes that his 2011 drama series “Budoy” is the highlight of his life and career.
That’s why he doesn’t understand why haters use his character in the serye to demean him or other people.
“Para i-bash din ako, ginagamit yung ‘Budoy.’ It’s funny kasi parang, really? I mean, siyempre, kahit anong sabihin ko, hindi naman sila titigil. May mga tao talagang parang walang ibang ginagawa kun’di mang-bash, mang-hate,” he said.
“(But) Why? Unang-una hindi ako na-o-offend. Pangalawa, natutuwa pa nga ako na it’s been so long and naaalala pa rin ‘yang character na yan. So yung nang-bash sa akin, isa ka rin sa mga nanuod.”
He reiterated that when people hate, their real character shows.
“And for you to use yung character ni Budoy, yung isang special child, parang paano mo nata-type yun? Anong tumatakbo sa isip mo para mag-hate ka and to use a special child to get back at me for whatever reason ung bakit ayaw mo sa akin?,” he said.
“At the end of the day, pag nakikita ko nga iyon – wala yung effect na iniisip nila. It just makes me sad for the other people.”
Gerald reitereated he doesn’t know why up until now it’s being used against him.
“That’s a highlight of my life, of my career… And yung education, nakita ng mga tao kung paano yung buhay ng may special needs at mga tang nag aalala with special need. I will forever be proud, kahit tawagin mo akong Budoy ng paulit-ulit buong buhay ko, it’s something I’ll always be proud of,” he declared.
