A group of women was caught on video taking all the goods from a community pantry in Barangay Kapitolyo, Pasig City.

The closed-circuit television (CTTV) footage of the six women taking all of the pantry's goods was uploaded by Carla Quiogue on Facebook.
The footage has gone viral and has been shared on various social media platforms.
Quiogue said the group of women who had eco bags with them took two trays of eggs, loaves of bread, and other goods from the community pantry.
“Walang tinira. Sana talagang yun yung kailangan nila (They did not leave anything. I hope that’s what they really need),” she posted on Facebook, which so far garnered at least 6,000 reactions.
Despite this incident at the Kapitolyo Community Pantry, Quiogue said that they will continue the community pantry.
She said a lot of people have contacted her to make a donation to the pantry.
Amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), a community pantry in Maginhawa, Quezon City was opened by Ana Patricia Non.
However, Non had to shut down the pantry due to red-tagging of authorities.
The initiative of Non has inspired many people to open their own community pantries in their respective areas to help people affected by the pandemic.
Netizens have posted on social media about community pantries they spotted in other parts of the metropolis, as well as in provinces.
This simple act of kindness has captured the hearts of the public and provided food on the plate of jobless Filipinos struggling to provide for their families.
Unemployment rate in the country went up due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Data from the Department of Labor and Employment showed that over 420,000 Filipinos lost their jobs in 2020 as the pandemic affected the economy.
