Kai Sotto crossed paths with Indonesia’s naturalized player Lester Prosper two months before their possible face-off in the third window of the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.

The 7-foot-3 Sotto and Prosper exchanged pleasantries at a training facility in Miami Thursday, April 15, where they spent time working on their individual skills.

“Young legend,” Prosper said in an Instagram video of his meeting with Sotto at The Miami Perimeter.

Sotto and Prosper later posted a picture with skills trainer Stanley Remy in the middle, giving fans a preview of the possibilities by the time the final phase of the continental qualifiers is held.

Gilas Pilipinas and Indonesia are slated to play in Group A of the qualifiers that will be held in Clark, Pampanga from June 16 to 20, barring another postponement due to the fluidity of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There’s a chance that the Sotto will suit up for Gilas since it seems apparent that his schedule may allow him to play for flag and country.

Prosper made his Indonesia debut in the second window last November, finishing with 19 points and 13 rebounds in the 90-76 victory over Thailand in Bahrain.

Filipino fans are no stranger to Prosper, who played as an import for Columbian in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup and San Miguel Beer in the East Asia Super League that same year.

Prosper became a naturalized player of Indonesia last year.
