P122M worth of shabu seized in Las Piñas City buy-bust

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized some P122 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust in Las Piñas City on Wednesday, April 14.

PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon said the operation started after one of their assets was able to negotiate for the purchase of shabu from the group of the suspects.

He identified them as Reyano T. Oraid, Khen T. Moreno, Efren M. Mangona, Redzcan M. Oraid, Abdulmunir M. Addin and Shay An A. Mokamad.

Carreon said the buy-bust in a subdivision in Las Piñas City resulted in the confiscation of a total of 18 kilos of shabu with a street value of P122,400,000.

Also seized during the operation were an one OPPO smartphone, one Samsung keypad phone, one pearl white Mitsubishi Expander sports utility vehicle (SUV) with license plate NFU 8599 with key, one red KIA RIO vehicle with plate number EG 28-74 with key, various identification cards and buy-bust money.

The buy-bust operation was jointly conducted by the operating units of PDEA, Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
