A drug suspect was killed in a buy-bust operation in Marilao, Bulacan on Tuesday, April 13.
The Bulacan police identified the slain drug peddler as Espero Dacanay alias "Nico."
The buy-bust operation was conducted by members of the Marilao police's Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) at 10:35 p.m. in Looban 2, Barangay Loma de Gato where Dacanay was residing.
Based on the police report, Dacanay sensed that he was transacting with a poseur buyer and fired at the latter but missed.
Police officers then returned fire which resulted in the death of Dacanay.
Recovered from the suspect were a Cal.38 Smith and Wesson, three aluminum foil strips, 10 sachets of shabu, two disposable lighters, one blue pouch, and buy-bust money.
