The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 8,000 more new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Wednesday, April 14.
The case bulletin of the DOH showed 8,122 new COVID cases which brings the total number of cases in the country to 892,880.

The data also showed 501 new recoveries and 162 new deaths.
Total number of recoveries rose to 704,386 while the total number of deaths climbed to 15,447.
Of the 173,047 active cases, the DOH said, 96.3 percent are mild, 2.4 percent asymptomatic, 0.4 percent critical, 0.5 percent severe, 0.31 percent moderate.
The Health department said 25 duplicates were removed from the total case count.
"Of these, 14 are recoveries and 1 is a death," said the DOH.
"Moreover, 64 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation," it added.
Twelve labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS) on April 13, 2021, the DOH said.
