More quarantine facilities will open in San Juan City by the end of April, Mayor Francis Zamora said on Tuesday (April 13).

In an interview with ANC, Zamora said the city will be opening "in the next few days" its container vans which will be used as a quarantine facility.
"This will help us enhance our quarantine facilities especially now that the hospitals are really overloaded," he said.
Zamora said the city has also been doing triaging to identify patients who should go to the hospitals and those who should be transferred to quarantine facilities.
The container vans have 26 rooms in total according to the mayor, all of which have individual toilets.
Aside from the container vans, San Juan has also started rebuilding the San Juan Elementary School library into a quarantine facility that will open very soon.
The city has also teamed up with the Philippine Red Cross to open two community-based quarantine facilities which can handle 200 patients.
"I'm optimistic that by the end of April, all of these will be fully functional," he said.
