Vico Sotto explains viral picture of him in hospital gown

A lot of fans were worried upon seeing the now viral photo of Vico Sotto.

The charismatic public servant has since come out to assure fans there's nothing to worry.

Apparently, the photo was an old one taken in 2017, when he underwent bilateral knee arthroscopy.

"2017 pa nga diba haha. Pero salamat na rin sa mga nagtext at nagdasal. Ingat po, kaya laganap ang fake news eh," he wrote on Instagram. 

The said social media post resurfaced after netizens started filling the comment section with well-wishes messages.

Meanwhile, another online user commented: "Although this is an old post, we still wish for you to stay safe always! It is not only the people of Pasig who needs you, The whole country needs you even more in the near future. You are the hope of our fatherland!"

Last month, Vico underwent isolation after his long-time driver died due to COVID-19.

The Pasig City Mayor is the only child of Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes.
