Two local government units in Rizal to enforce unified curfew hours

Following the shift to the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) in the National Capital Region Plus Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite (NCR-plus), the local government units of Antipolo City and Taytay are also enforcing the 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew starting April 12.

From April 12 to April 30, curfew hours in Antipolo City will start at 8 p.m instead of 6 p.m. according to Dr. Junjun Ynares, spokesperson of Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Bautista-Ynares.

Ynares said although the curfew has been moved two hours later, restrictions in the transportation and other measures pertaining to the implementation of the maximum health protocols will remain.

Authorities in Antipolo City have been rounding up violators of quarantine protocols including those violating curfew hours.

In Taytay, Mayor George Ricardo Gacula told the Manila Bulletin that just like in Metro Manila, the entire municipality will impose the 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew .

The Taytay Police has been implementing the "One Entry and One Exit Policy," Oplan Sita, and minimum health protocols in public markets in the municipality.

Only those who are Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) are allowed outside provided they show their identification to prove that they are essential workers.
