Malacañang said there was no need to issue a medical bulletin on President Duterte's health condition because the Chief Executive is not sick.
Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque made the statement as the public continues to speculate about Duterte's health following the cancellation of his public address last week.
In his press briefing on Monday, Roque responded to calls of critics to issue a bulletin on the President's health condition.
"A medical bulletin is only given when the President is sick and he is not sick," he said.
Despite the lack of public appearance last week, Roque assured that President Duterte is on top of the situation.
He, however, said on Saturday that the President will be delivering his weekly public address on April 12.
Duterte's public address is usually held on Mondays but his expected address on April 5 was moved to April 7. It was later on canceled, fueling speculations about the President's health and resurgence of the hashtag #NasaanAngPangulo (Where is the President?).
The rumors prompted Duterte's long-time aide Senator Christopher Go to post photos of himself with Duterte inside his residence in Malacañang late Wednesday evening. Over the weekend, Go also posted a video of Duterte playing golf.
Roque had explained that the weekly public address was canceled because some members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) had tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Duterte's last public appearance was on March 29 in a meeting with the government's pandemic task force.
