CAVITE - Governor Jonvic C. Remulla announced on Monday (April 12) that curfew hours in the province have been adjusted to 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. now that National Capital Region-plus (NCR-plus) bubble has been placed under the modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

In a Facebook post, Remulla said malls within the province can now operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. but only essential establishments are allowed to open. Restaurants, on the other hand, are still restricted to take-out and delivery services.

Physical exercises like walking, jogging, and biking are still allowed within the residential vicinity but health protocols should be strictly followed. Group sports like basketball, however, are still prohibited.

Remulla also advised his constituents to expect heavy traffic in some areas due to checkpoints. Public transport, on the other hand, can only be used by Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR). He called on Caviteños to stay at home except for essential and emergency purposes.

"Karamihan sa transmission ngayon ay galing sa pinagtatrabahuhan (Most cases of viral transmission now happen at the workplace," Remulla said in his post. "Majority of new infections are those 20-39 years old. Worse, when they come home, hawa na ang mga kasama sa bahay (Worse, when they come home, they infect other people in the household). Often, it’s the senior citizen parents who end up losing their lives."

"Please do not be complacent: Continue to follow all World Health Organization (WHO) protocols to avoid infection in workplaces," he added.
