Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez, who is also chairman of the MMC, in a text message confirmed that Metro Manila mayors will discuss whether areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus bubble are ready to revert to the more lenient modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
Olivarez, who was interviewed by ABS-CBN on April 8, said he is in favor of reverting NCR to MECQ.
Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, for her part, said she will follow the decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on NCR's next quarantine status.
Rubiano said the city government is also ready to help residents in case ECQ will be retained.
