KC Concepcion opens up on passing of paternal grandmother due to COVID-19
In a rare instance, KC Concepcion talked about the untimely passing of her dad Gabby Concepcion's mother last year.
"I don’t like to express much when it comes to low vibe things- I try to stay away from dwelling in a dark space. Although I don’t say much about experiencing loss, we did for one lose my grandmother on my father’s side, last year, due to Covid. In keeping my cool, I don’t believe that others realize how deeply I am able to process traumatic situations, intense information, and pain," she wrote on Instagram.

KC confirmed the death of her lola Lourdes, the granddaughter of painter Juan Arellano, last year.

KC also realized that in keeping her cool, she tends to choose to lean on the brighter side.
"I hope to uplift people’s spirits with good vibes IRL or on social. We encounter tremendous fear and so much uncertainty on the daily that I may resort to speaking only of feel good things in my dire need to manage anxiety, not just for myself but for others around me."
Though, the eldest daughter of Sharon Cuneta reiterated that she's "grateful" for her lack of need to prove to anyone her "level of woke."
"It’s in my personality to fight battles quietly and silently because the chatter and noise do not help in any way to process anything properly. In life anyway I feel that we will always be placed in a situation to share our truths and our stories when the time is prime. After all, we are here to sharpen one another, to lift each other up and not be threatened when others choose to - without stepping on anyone’s toes - curate a better life."
KC then extended prayers for all the health workers and COVID-19 patients fighting the battle and trying to recover in their hospital beds, ER tents, at home.
"Praying for the families and people who have lost their loved ones due to this pandemic. The way I approached my birthday this year set the tone for how I hope to approach the rest of the year~ calm, cool, wary and steady. For the most part, at least, until we encounter the game changer. God bless the Philippines."
