Globe provides free, unlimited GoWIFI connection to 124 hospitals, key sites nationwide


Globe Telecom Inc. has provided free and unlimited GoWIFI connection to over 100 hospitals, and key sites nationwide.

Globe announced that on April 8, it started providing free GoWiFi services to select hospitals and other key locations nationwide "to extend connectivity support in the wake of rising coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country."

Of the 124 hospitals and sites provided with free and unlimited GoWIFI connection, 29 are located in Luzon, 49 in Metro Manila, 27 in Visayas, and 19 in Mindanao.

Among the hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR) that have been given free and unlimited internet service were The Medical City (Ortigas), Rizal Medical Center, Pasig City Children’s Hospital and Pasig City General Hospital in Pasig City; Cardinal Santos Hospital and San Juan Medical Center in San Juan City; Manila Naval Hospital and St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC-Global City) in Taguig City; Balai Banyuhay Valenzuela Rehabilitation Center in Valenzuela City; Chinese General Hospital, Metropolitan Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, Manila Doctors Hospital, DR. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center, Qualimed Manila (PGH Area); Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Hospital ng Sampaloc, San Lazaro Hospital, Sta. Ana Hospital, and Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila City; Ospital ng Makati in Makati City; VRP Medical Center and National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City; Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City; and Ospital ng Parañaque District 1 and District 2.

To use free GoWiFi, users simply need to connect to @FreeGoWiFi or @<site>_FreeGoWiFi hotspots using a WiFi-enabled device. 

“We recognize the importance of being able to stay connected and informed especially at a time when the country continues to confront the coronavirus,” said Director for Business Development Janis Racpan of Globe’s WiFi Group.

“By providing reliable internet service to some of the key locations, we hope to be of help to our frontliners and kababayans in their online needs, ” she added.

Globe said its GoWiFi services have also been available in select vaccination sites, supermarkets, local government units, airports, and public transportation terminals.
